The Five Towers

My camera phone is rather iffy. These 5 towers are loud both visually and audibly, but are not heard directly. Peaking over the trees as I reach the highest point of my morning bike ride to work, they signify a smooth pleasurable glide into the workday. Hearing the rush of cars below, I can see my destination so far away blasting sports talk into their radios.

Uncertain

Laced with ice from storms passing,
An evergreen grows silently through desolation.

Rings surround rings in aging
While baron rock inflicts its isolation.

Branches flower for spring
To spread seed down the mountain.

Saplings sprouting
Uncertain.

It's been a while since I posted anything here. Good news, we were able to acquire a new vehicle for the family. Also, I have moved to an apartment that is 3.6 miles from work and have been riding my bicycle as often as I can.
